Age slaps me in the face...

This is a photo of me that was taken last weekend. I was the guest speaker at the women's breakfast, speaking on my knitting addiction. I was a bit worried about what I would say, but once I started talking, I turned into a blabber mouth. I brought some of the first knitted items that I made years ago, progressing to my current knitting projects. I brought different types of yarn that I use, some of my favorite books and knitting magazines. The ladies were interested and even asked a lot of questions. I even taught Mikaela how to knit, she is left handed, but I taught her to knit right handed.
You might wonder where the age slapping me in the face comes into the story. Let me tell you that seeing myself in this photo was a shock, it made me think that I am looking like a lady in her 40's! Gasp, I am! So suddenly feeling a bit aged, today it was made known to me that I am ageing for real. I have had a toothache since Thanksgiving, finally called the dentist today. She had me come in for an ex ray (know that I just had my teeth cleaned 2 weeks ago, and all was well!) I have a cavity under my crown and an infection. So now I need a root canal and maybe a new crown! feeling rather low about that, I was slapped again with age after getting the mail. Today's delivery included notification from the health care insurance that I qualify to enter a program to help me with my with cholesterol/hypertension! I feel my hair turning whiter by the minute...thank God for Nice and Easy gray formula! Now to work on keeping my teeth and not having a heart attack or stroke (as the program was promising!)
